Accessible Printing

Kuta Software’s desktop software for teachers is used by teachers to create and print math worksheets. Most problems are printed in 12-point font. To accommodate low vision students, an accessible printing feature allows teachers to print from 1 to 4 problems on a page at any font size that can fit on the paper. To do this, open your assignment, click on the first problem in the assignment and then open “Presentation View.” You can open this using the toolbar icon, the View menu, or the shortcut F11.

When Presentation View appears, choose the number of problems by selecting a layout from the toolbar options. Next, adjust the zoom and the window dimensions so the problem is sized to fit the desired amount of space on the page. Then, ensure the "show answers" toolbar icon is not selected, so the answer will not be printed. Then, select the printer icon. In your printer preferences, choose either landscape or portrait. Our software will remember this choice for future printing. Then, print.

Here are some examples. To print one problem on a page in portrait mode, adjust the zoom and window dimensions like this.

To print two problems on a page in portrait mode, click on the toolbar button for two problems, aligned vertically. Then, adjust the zoom and window size as appropriate.

To print four problems on a page, click on the right-most toolbar button with four panes. Note that in this example, we chose not to display the directions. Printing in landscape mode works well when printing four problems.
